Chad Cannon is an Emmy-nominated composer and violinist whose work can be heard in the Oscar-winning Netflix documentary American Factory, the BAFTA-winning PlayStation game Ghost of Tsushima (and its Hokkaido-based sequel Ghost of Yotei), and the Peabody-winning HBO film Night is Not Eternal. Other recent credits include Tokyo Cowboy, Join or Die (Netflix), and The Dating Game (Sundance 2025 premiere).

As an arranger and orchestrator, he has worked for Joe Hisaishi, the composer for Hayao Miyazaki’s animated Studio Ghibli films, and has worked on major entertainment franchises such as The Hobbit trilogy, The Secret Life of Pets 1-2, and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Praised as “sparkling” by The New York Times and “a rising star” by China Musical Weekly, pianist Hui Wu has recently premiered Etudes and Glassworks with Raiford Rogers Modern Ballet in addition to chamber music engagements with Martin Chalifour, Rainer Honeck, Stefan Dohr and Stefán Ragnar Höskuldsson. 

A composer and advocate of new music, Hui has performed and recorded works by composers such as Matthew Aucoin, Du Yun, Huang Ruo, Chen Yi, and Eric Nathan. She studied with Jerome Lowenthal, Matti Raekallio and Phillip Lasser at Juilliard for her BM and MM degrees as well as completed her DMA at USC under the guidance of Stewart Gordon and Donald Crockett

Juli Berwald is a science writer and ocean expert whose work bridges marine biology and storytelling. She holds a B.A. in math from Amherst College and a Ph.D. in Ocean Science from the University of Southern California. Juli is the author of Spineless: The Science of Jellyfish and the Art of Growing a Backbone and Life on the Rocks: Building a Future for Coral Reefs, which was a finalist for the L.A. Times Book Prize. Her writing has appeared in National Geographic, The New York Times, and Texas Monthly, among others.

Lynn de Freitas is a full time volunteer for FRIENDS of Great Salt Lake, and enjoys working on developing policies that address the unique role and characteristics. of the Great Salt Lake to ensure its long term sustainability. She previously served as a member of Governor Herbert's Water Strategy Advisory Team to develop the July 2017 Recommended State Water Strategy, and worked for 18 years as a library media coordinator in both public and private schools in the Salt Lake area.
